Dr. Gonzo & Raoul DukeThis past Thursday I had the pleasure of playing Dr. Gonzo for the Flying Dog Gonzo Beer Dinner at National Mechanics. The people from Flying Dog were really great, and I think I am now hooked on their Raging Bitch Belgian-Styled Ale. Darren went as Raoul Duke and Kate, as always, did an amazing job with the decorations.

There is a much better write-up about event here:

Check out this article featuring my coworker Dan Pehrson…

Dan is a great guy who is very smart about being a gun owner. He is politically active about it and even has his own non-profit organization with an informative website where you can learn more about the laws, politics and safety around firearms.

Check out his website here: http://www.pafoa.org/

This summer, my sister-in-law Luz Stella and her boyfriend Juan took my wife Adriana and me on a tour of Antioquia in Colombia. One of the places we went was to Guatape, home to “Piedra del Peñol”, a giant rock formation that sits on top of a mountain surrounded by man-made lakes (it’s a reservoir). It is really an amazing sight to behold!

Recently my wife found a 720 degree view of this natural wonder online. I have posted that as well as some other links to info about it below.

I am working on a very cool project at work right now… I love the project, and the owner of the company is awesome… so awesome I decided to write a jingle for the company (OK… maybe more like sort-of borrow a jingle…)

The vocals are all me, and should be a variety of voices, the tempo is a bit too slow, and the booze-fueled recording a little loose, but this definitely gets the idea acrosss… a proof-of-concept if nothing else…

Anyway, click the graphic to hear the rough cut for an upcoming site that will be a new take on some old favorites (like the theme itself)…

Rabbat? WTF is this thing? Did Avery draw this… does he have crazy mad hidden design skillage? Anyway, go here and vote for Avery’s design…
